The CustomInk Three Hearts Initiative
Bringing people together to do some good through the power of custom t-shirts.
CustomInk cares – about our customers, our team members, our community, and our environment. It's no coincidence that our mascot, Inky, is an octopus. While everyone knows an octopus has eight arms, you might not be aware that every octopus also has three hearts. Think of all the love we can spread!
That's why we established the CustomInk Three Hearts Initiative – the charitable giving and community relations "arm" of CustomInk.
“Be Good To Each Other”
In August of 2013, we kicked off our 3rd annual “Be Good to Each Other” initiative to raise funds and awareness for bullying prevention. Partnering with PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, we unite each year against bullying and to support PACER’s bullying prevention programs.
Over the last three years we’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars, sold thousands of t-shirts, and continue to partner with PACER and prominent celebrities to continue bringing awareness of bullying prevention.
CustomInk believes that custom t-shirts make special occasions even more special! That’s why we’ve partnered with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Through CustomInk, “wish kids” will be able to commemorate their wish experience with custom t-shirts they design personally. CustomInk is thrilled to provide shirts that will help make these outings even more momentous and become a wonderful keepsake for all involved.
Other Three Hearts Efforts
CustomInk is proud of the big hearts and generous spirits of our team members (“Inkers”). Most of our charitable programs first started with an Inker seeing someone in need and deciding, “I’m going to do something to help.” Garnering the support of the company and their fellow team mates along the way, Inkers have initiated countless charitable efforts – from "giving trees" for kids in need to coat drives for the homeless and bake sales for medical research. There's even a CustomInk Movember team that raises money for men's health issues. On any given day, you can find Inkers doing good and giving back to show their support for worthy causes.
It’s a high bar – and an example for the company itself to follow. That’s why CustomInk encourages community service by providing ample paid leave for volunteering, and by making donations to support Inkers’ charitable activities. We do these things, and more, because we’re committed to doing the right thing for our customers, our Inkers and our community – and because it makes us happy.
