Ink of the Week Winner

“Human Library Chicago at Printers Row Lit Fest” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“The Human Library is a way to combat stigma and stereotypes by providing the public an opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life who act as open ‘books’. They open themselves to the public by talking about their life experiences and answering questions about their experiences. The Human Library is an international movement that started in Denmark, but this was the first event in Chicago. Our experience with CustomInk was wonderful. They showed us a proof of the design before we printed it. The T-shirts arrived promptly and in great condition – and looked great on our volunteers!”

“Dogs are Miracles with Paws – RUSVM’s Josh Project” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“RUSVM’s Josh Project (stemming from the national organization, Josh and Friends), reaches out to the sick and hospitalized children on the island of St. Kitts. We aim to ease pain, calm fears, and help with their overall healing process by utilizing the unique and powerful human-animal bond. One way we carry out our mission is through hospital donation visits, in which each child gets a stuffed puppy dog named Josh, and a book that we read with them called “I’ll Be O.K.”. We are able to carry out our mission because of our many fundraisers. This picture was taken at our most recent fundraiser, on May 24, 2014: Woof for Wellness. Woof for Wellness was a health & fitness retreat that benefited the children and animals in our community! Our classes (yoga, dance, aerobics and more) looked out over the beautiful Caribbean Sea with a view of our sister island, Nevis. This picture shows some of our Josh Project volunteers wearing their CustomInk tees! We’ve been ordering these tees for our active members since RUSVM’s Josh Project began in 2010!”

“Bella’s Army” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“On 5/24/2014 we had a benefit for our daughter to raise funds for a handicapped accessible van. It was an amazing day and we raised enough money for Bella to get her wheels!!! Bella’s supporters have nicknamed themselves “Bella’s Army”. So we thought it would be great to get t-shirts for the event. Working with CustomInk was an absolute pleasure!!! What an amazing company! Kind, compassionate, and truly love what they do! THANK YOU!!!”

“Queen’s Pink Paint Party” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“We had a birthday party that we themed Queen Woney’s Pink Paint Party. Everyone received an apron with that title on it to actually paint in and it served as the party favor. The aprons were amazing and the party was amazing.”

“Love, Healing, Fun, Madness” wins this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

“In May, 2014, Expedition Balance took a group of military Veterans to summer camp to help them heal from PTSD, Depression, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other challenges. We spent 3.5 days at Camp for All in Burton, TX, enjoying the outdoors, eating well, and doing lots of yoga and meditation. Our programs help our Veterans heal – without pills. We plan to do much more, in hopes we can help our warriors find themselves again after service.

We are happy to work with CustomInk. The shirts are beautiful and a big hit with everyone in our happy group.”
