T-Shirt Patterns

So now that spring is in the air, even if it doesn’t feel like spring outside (it’s currently gray skies in the DC area and my teammates are complaining about the lack of sunshine), it’s time to start adding fun, colorful, flair to your wardrobe and to your custom tees. I look to Jayme’s monitor, and then to Erin’s (our art specialists), and they are both working on similar concepts for their customers’ orders.

Today it’s all about patterns. Read more –>

Custom Kite T-Shirt

Fun Fact: More adults in the world fly kites than children.

Here’s one adult’s story:

Scott H. owns a Kite shop in Pacific Beach, Washington. Every year for the past 17 years, Scott sponsors a fun fly event at the end of the summer where people get together and fly kites.  Selling a commemorative t-shirt is the cornerstone to this annual event.

Scott contacted Creative Services with a few ideas. Namely, Scott wanted to include a male and female crab on a beach, flying kites. We translated his concept into a winning idea for his “Up Your Wind” 18th Annual Festival.

Scott loved the shirts so much, he sent us one of his mini box flyers (13 of 13) with the design printed on the kite! After running around the office for a few minutes of indoor kite flying, I emailed to thank him for the amazing gift.

We look forward to helping Scott next year for the 19th Annual “Up Your Wind” event!

2011 Pub Crawl T-Shirt

March is fast approaching, so my friends Mary and Jason have helped me create new St. Patrick‘s Day design templates. Each year, customers order shirts for local parades celebrating Irish culture. But, I have to say, most customers get their custom t-shirts with the intent of honoring the patron saint of Ireland with a nice cold pint.

If you and your friends are planning a bar crawl, what better way to keep track of everyone than by having matching pub crawl shirts? Heck, you can go one step further and number all your friends’ shirts to keep tabs on them. A quick line-up at the end of the night…and you’ll know if someone is missing. Or you can use the back of your shirt to list all the stops you plan to visit throughout the night. You can even get one special shirt made for your designated driver so people know you are traveling safely.

So, whether you are Irish or just happen to love corned beef and wearing green, you can’t go wrong with a new shirt! And when you clink your glasses together at the pub, don’t forget to say, “Sláinte” (slaan-cha). Here’s to your health! And be safe in your matching t-shirts for St. Patrick’s Day!

Swim Team T-Shirts

Michael told you all about Creative Services recently, and now I’ll be sharing some customer stories from those who’ve taken advantage of this great service!

Kim S. has a swim team in Pasadena, California, called the Sting Rays. Every year, she gets her swim team t-shirts to wear to swim meets and show their team pride. This year, she wanted to do something really special and make the kids shirts that were cool enough to wear for meets, but also something they’d want to wear year round. So, she contacted Creative Services.

Kim asked for two swim team t-shirt designs —  one for the boys and one for the girls — and since they are in Cali, she wanted the shirts to look like the vintage, surf shop style she saw in all the stores.  The final designs had a similar aesthetic, using the same color palette and texture effect, but were changed up so the girls had a more feminine flair. There is a sting ray in each of the designs, but the surrounding imagery changes the tone completely. To make the shirts even more fashionable, Kim ordered girly-style shirts for the girls so the fit would be more flattering. They were such a hit, she ending up reordering both designs a month later!

Need help designing cool shirts, sure to be the highlight of the season?  Just ask for Creative Services when you call!
