About this campaign
The Sacramento Police Academy class of 18BR-2 and Misha Burke Designs are teaming up to raise funds for the family of the recent fallen Sacramento Police Department Officer Tara O'Sullivan.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the O'Sullivan Family.
On June 19th, 2019, Officer Tara O'Sullivan was helping a woman move out of her northeast Sacramento home after a dispute when a man with a history of domestic violence fatally shot her with a high-powered rifle. A standoff ensued and Officer O'Sullivan succumbed to her injuries.
Officer O'Sullivan knew at a young age that she wanted to be a police officer and work for the Sacramento Police Department. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development at Sacramento State University and was one of four students honored in December 2017 as the first group to finish the school's Law Enforcement Candidate Scholars (LECS) program. Officer O'Sullivan was one of seven women to graduate in December 2018 with the Sacramento Police Academy 18BR-2 class. She excelled in the academy as well as her field training portion. She was set to patrol by herself in a couple of weeks before the incident.
She was a true hero who loved her community and had a huge impact on those who knew her.
Officer O'Sullivan will never be forgotten. Rest easy hero, we have it from here.
