The Role

CustomInk is seeking a Director of Online Experience to continually improve the CustomInk.com website and to be its chief storyteller. The scope of responsibility includes the website, transaction-encouraging emails and related online properties (e.g. blogs, Facebook, etc) but does not include online marketing (ppc, seo, banner ads, etc). This person's mission will be to improve customer enthusiasm and ultimately conversion rates (purchases) by creating an online experience that's truly worthy of remark. The candidate will join the marketing/ecommerce leadership team, helping to shape and prioritize improvements to the site's core functionality, including CustomInk's do-it-yourself Design Lab. The core of this person's responsibilities will be to work with the rest of the marketing team and across the company to spot opportunities, create plans, and execute tests that measurably improve the experience for our customers.

The Perfect Candidate (That's you!)

Compelling candidates will have a retail-is-detail mindset and can speak to professional examples where nuanced adjustments have made a big difference. He or she must also possess the powerful combination of ecommerce subject matter expertise, a head for numbers and analysis and a knack for branding (e.g. visuals, messaging, aesthetics). Leadership and teamwork are also critical elements to successful leaders at CustomInk. As such, candidates should exhibit a strong aptitude for assembling and developing high-performance teams. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a hands-on entrepreneurial streak and a track record of success.
