Role

We are seeking a talented, experienced marketer to manage and fully develop online customer acquisition programs. These programs include (but are not limited to): social networks, online ad networks and display ads, and online directories. The marketing manager's main objective will be to scale existing programs as much as possible while maintaining or improving profitability.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for managing a number of online acquisition programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Growing existing programs while maintaining or improving profitability
  • Conceiving, developing and executing tests to refine segmentation and targeting, copy and creative
  • Directing internal and external agencies to develop creative from concept to final stage. Creative may include copywriting, banner ads, and landing pages
  • Reviewing final creative, URLs, and tracking codes before campaigns go live
  • Coordinating marketing efforts across internal groups such as IT to implement campaign reporting tools
  • Pulling data from various sources and analyzing it to determine campaign results
  • Developing reports and tools to help monitor the performance of existing programs on an ongoing basis
  • Initiating and testing new online programs that have the potential to be profitable and scalable

Measures of Success

The success of the marketing manager will be determined by the following key measures:

  • Overall revenue and profit attributed to the online programs
  • Growth in online programs as measured by overall revenue, profit, number of orders and ROI
  • Innovation of test designs, read-ability of test results and identification of new controls
  • Rigor of analysis and presentation of campaign results

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 4-7 years marketing experience, concentrated within online marketing and preferably ecommerce
  • Direct marketing expertise, particularly test design and set-up
  • Marketing program execution experience and ability to work independently
  • Enthusiasm for and demonstrated success with improving results
  • Analytical skills. Comfort with pulling and analyzing data from numerous sources as well as web analytics. Specific experience with Coremetrics a plus
  • Vendor management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
  • Creativity to think of test ideas
  • Detail-orientation and ability to be the last set of eyes before campaigns launch
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
