Role
We seek a highly organized and meticulous individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, to design, build and administrate multi site IT infrastructure of a rapidly growing technology enabled company. You will be one of our key contributors to leverage Desktop/LAN/WAN technologies to help improve business operations.
You will be working with internal users and external technology vendors to ensure Office related IT infrastructure is robust, secure and scalable to meet rapidly growing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, Install and Administrate multi-site, Office IT Infrastructure that includes a mix of Linux and Windows environment.
- Minimize business disruptions by building redundancy and failover of business critical systems
- You must work cooperatively with our technology team, Users and external vendors, to ensure IT projects are delivered on time and exceeds business expectations.
- Assist Desktop support team with a goal to ensure Help desk tickets are closed on time and with high degree customer satisfaction.
Measures of Success
You will be responsible for contributing to customer satisfaction, improving business productivity and reducing business risks as part of the Technology Operations team. Key measures of success are:
- Business interruption – measured by tracking uptime of business infrastructure
- Execution – measured project delivery – time and quality
- Customer Satisfaction – measured by the customer (internal) feedback
- Teamwork – Working together to enhance customers and teammates experience – measured by ongoing feedback
Qualifications
You must be proactive, enjoy the challenge of working with many moving parts, and able to easily adapt to change resulting from rapid growth. You are expected to be a team player in our fun, intense, and results-oriented environment, so you must be helpful, professional, able to remain focused and positive under pressure and share in our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidate would have 4 or more years of experience in design, implementation and support of multi site network of 150-300 users with following attributes:
- Core Requirements
- Hands on Network operations experience in multi-site Windows and Linux environments – Data circuits, Firewall/VPN (Juniper), TCP/IP and routing protocols, Switches (CISCO), File servers (Linux/Windows), Data storage (NAS appliances)etc.
- Strong experience in setting up and managing Active directory
- Good Linux Administration skills (SMTP/email server, Samba file share, basic scripting for process automation/maintenance, apache exposure etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with non IT users
- Good listener
- Preferred Experience
- Setting up Email infrastructure (Exchange or any other comparable package such as Zimbra)
- SSL Firewall/VPN (Juniper/Sonic wall)
- Telephone system (Contact center environment preferred)
- Setting up Collaboration/Enterprise Wiki tools
- Desktop support experience
- Desktop and Network management & monitoring tools
- Failover and/or Load balancing configurations (e.g. High Availability setup for Firewall, Email, Bandwidth (F5) etc.)
- College degree in related field preferred
