"On September 12, 2015 we participated in the "Out of Darkness" walk in Hampton Rds. Virginia. This event brings out more than 5000 participants each year. The event is to remember those we have lost to suicide and for prevention awareness.
I walk in honor of my first husband whom I lost on 1/23/2011. Never in a million years did I think I would also have to walk to remember my sweet daughter whom I lost on 12/25/2013.
Our team name is to remember all those that we have lost in the area code of 757. Anyone who has lost someone to suicide is a "Survivor". My daughter loved reggae and the colors. The heart represent our love for her and my first husband.
This wasn't just a shirt for our team; it was remembering and honoring. CustomInk did an amazing job and truly brought out everything I was trying to represent. "
