"Alone we can do little, together we can do much." (Helen Keller)

"On Memorial Day 2013, Deenie's Lightworkers kicked off a fund raising campaign with a neighborhood pot luck. Our Honoree is Deenie Tiggle, diagnosed with ALS just a year ago, in center of photo. A Lightworkers is "any being dedicated to the cultivation of inner presence and the elevation of awareness in self and others." Our Walking Team is comprised of 25 Walkers and over 100 Virtual Walkers across 8 states and one European country. A second Deenie's Lightworkers Walking Team is forming in DC, Tiggle's hometown, and preparing for the October 20 ALS Walk there. Same beautiful t-shirts, same glowing smiles, same deep commitment to instilling hope for our loved ones who suffer this dreadful disease. While fund raising is a central focus of this event, we remember the words of Mother Teresa who said, "it's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving."" - Deenie's Lightworkers (Sep 17, 2013)
