"At Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, we have a wonderful advisory program as part of our International Baccalaureate program. Each teacher is an advisor of a group made up of a small group of students. The purpose of advisory groups are for teachers to build deeper meaningful relationships with students through avenues other than just simply academic classes. Advisory groups meet three times a week and discuss topics ranging from personal issues to global scaled ones. Advisors act as mentors for their advisees in their student and personal lives holistically. They are amazing groups formed to support healthy and successful student life within the chaotic nature of being a teenager in high school. These t-shirts will act as part of a memoir of this years' advisory group and all of the experiences we have shared together.
