"It took a sad occasion to create a happy one. During the funeral of one of the Cahill elders, the cousins decided they wanted to have a reunion. It was scheduled for the first weekend in August at one of the cousin's home in Connecticut. Family came from as far away as Florida, up-state New York and Cape Cod. As mentioned by previous commentator the death of D.W.Cahill second son of J.F.Cahill led grandson's of J.F.Cahill; D.J.Cahill and G.P."Stein" Cahill to have our first "official" family reunion on August 1, 2009.The highlight of the evening was third and only remaing son of J.F.Cahill;R.J.Cahill as clan elder being honored with Celtic music by a real Celtic Band.Good time was had by all. D.J.C.
