CU STRIVE at Frederick Douglass Academy

"Columbia University STRIVE is an after-school program for New York City high school students who have Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and provides the mentoring, peer support, academic assistance, and disease management education that they need to manage their condition effectively and realize their full potential. Over our spring break, STRIVE visited Frederick Douglass Academy to teach students about SCD and ways to self-advocate so that students with disabilities are not left behind in their academics." - http://blogs.cuit.columbia.edu/strive/ - Columbia University STRIVE (Mar 17, 2016)
