"Dave's Defenders team was made for our dad, husband, grandpa and friend....he was the true hero. Last July 2014 my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer and after putting in a courageous 8 month battle we lost him in March 2015. My dad would have done anything for anyone and we wanted to show him our love and support by having a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Our team was made up of my mom, my family, my sisters family and our closest friends. My dad would have been so proud of us, especially his little granddaughters out there spreading awareness for cancer. Our shirts were exactly what we could have ever hoped for!"
