"I'm an active runner and love to run 5k's and 10k's whenever I get a chance to do. So when the MD Anderson SCOPE 5k race came up on my calendar I signed myself up and my family! MD Anderson was my home away from home when I was young as my grandma was receiving treatment for colon and liver cancer. She was the bravest person I knew and fought tooth & nail trying to beat her cancer. Although she didn't win her battle with cancer, her memory and strength will always live within our whole family.
