"On the second Thursday of May every year, Keller Williams Offices GLOBALLY close their doors and give back to their community through acts of service for RED DAY. Some offices do fund raisers for families or people in need,manual labor, landscaping, volunteering & contributing to the needs of others. Yesterday, our KW Naples office processed a total of 6,798 pounds of food - 2,000 lbs of potatoes & 4,798 lbs of acorn squash equivalent to 5,665 meals for our neighbors in need in Charlotte, Collier, Hendry & Lee Counties!!! With our help, we contributed to the development of innovative and creative ways to feed our region’s at-risk families through Harry Chapin's 150 partner agencies by providing them with fresh, nutritious food to help feed children, working-poor families, seniors and others. In fiscal year 2014-2015, the Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed 18.4 million pounds of food —the equivalent of 15.3 million meals. Volunteers are critical to the food bank’s ability to help our neighbors in need. Our 18 KW Naples volunteers contributed two hours of volunteer time. Collectively, we provided 36 volunteer hours - equivalent of more than $848.16. Our support is a contributing factor to our ability to fight hunger in Southwest Florida.
