Let's Walk Agsinst Hunger!

"The Friendship Service Center operates a Soup Kitchen that serves 2 meals a day, M-F to over 175 homeless people per day. Our local food pantry that supplies most of our food holds a Walk Against Hunger every year to help subsidize their programs and raise awareness of the hungry in CT. The Foodshare Walk Against Hunger provides much-needed support for all of their participating program partners. There are 137,480 people, including 42,830 children, in need of emergency food assistance in the Greater Hartford region. Our photo is of all of our Walk Teams who participate and we provide tshirts for (which they loved!). I am new to my position so I do not know how long we have been getting our tshirts from CustomInk. Every year there is a lot of hub bub ove which colors they are going to be and several walkers collect our tshirts which helps us raise money for the event. Everything that we raise, comes back to us by 80% as long as we raise at least $20,000 which we have been able to reach every year with the support of our staff, donors, business partners, neighbors, and area churches. It ends up being a fun day with music, camaraderie, activities for the younger walkers, and a feel good do good atmosphere. I would not get our tshirts any where else, the quality was terrific and the service fabulous. CustomInk came through on everything they promised with a can do, helpful attitude.
