"This photo was taken at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake MN. on Oct. 14th 2015. This is our group photo for National Day of Action. #PeoplesClimate. We are a group of Indigenous people who promote food sovereignty and getting back to a traditional diet. We also promote gardening, and food preservation. We are standing up and speaking out for our earth and climate because it affects our traditional way of life. This is not only a Native American issue. Everyone needs water and a stable environment to grow and harvest foods.
