"After losing our mother to brain cancer, we decided to participate in brain cancer/brain tumor 5K's in her honor. We were initially going to fly to NYC from South Florida in November 2012 to participate in our 1st 5K, but Hurricane Sandy got in our way. This past Sunday (4/21/13) we got together and participated in our first family 5K to honor our mom, Libby Vargas. We are called "Libby's Brainiacs".
