"My dear friend Dave is a single dad and doesn't have any family within 3 states from where we live. He is kind of a quiet guy and set out to make a goal to run his first Marathon. Dave didn't think anyone would show up to watch a 4 hour run.. My friend and I wanted to support him as much as possible so to suprise him I created the shirts to wear the day of the race. He didn't see them til we saw him at our first post the 5k mark. He only saw the front of them at that time "run dave run..." At the 18K mark he was dragging. When he got right before us we started running on the side a little in front of him so he could read the back of our shirts claiming he finishes the 26.2 miles. He said they motivated him to keep going when he didn't want to cause his friends believed in him and already assumed he could finish and put it on there shirts.
We gave Dave a shirt and some of his buddies who couldnt come to the race. Its something he will always remember as motivation.
I got motivated to run my first 1/2 marathon in September.. Maybe you will be printing some Run Cheri Run shirts this fall.. "
