"The Sturges family has been tracking up from Sacramento to Mt. Shasta for 33 years to cut Christmas Trees. The event began when 2 brothers decided to attend school in Weed, CA just north of the mountain.
The younger group in the photos have all been going since they were born. One of the kids lives in Southern CA and flies up each year just to attend and enjoy the cousins, and says he wouldn't miss it for the world.
We always eat at Mike & Tony's in Mt. Shasta City each year, and I am sure if we didn't show they would send out a search party for us. It's one of the events I know my kids will pass along to there kids as well.
Good times that we all treasure each year with laughter, good food and always a few pranks."
