Silvia's Giving Tree Foundation

"The idea to make a T-shirt started when I decided to run the Color Me Rad 5K to honor and support my friend Silvia during her chemotherapy to treat breast cancer as I wanted to give her a token of our support to remind her we are all in this with her! At first, I was going to draw something myself on the shirt with markers, but I figured that if I printed it, the shirt would look much better, so I started doing the research online and ran into Custom Ink's site. Initially, I designed something generic using the great website's tools and showed it to my friend Luis (Silvia's husband) to get some feedback and his thought about my idea. As soon as he learned about it, he told me he thought it was great but if I could change it to something related to Silvia's new foundation, so people could learn about it. He explained to me what Silvia's plans were with it and everything, so I told him I would be honored if they let me design the foundation's logo. I began working on it and after several iterations, I completed the design on the shirt and decided that instead of just printing my shirt to run the 5K and give to Silvia during her foundation's initial gathering, we would make the shirt the official uniform of the foundation's fundraisers and events, so we printed 20 instead. Silvia and Luis will be running the 3 Day Walk for the cure wearing the shirts and all of us will be there wearing it as well to support them! If we win this $100, our plan is to print more of Silvia's Giving Tree shirts so we can raise more money towards the foundation. Working with Custom Ink has been one of my greatest purchasing experience. Customer support was incredible and the options and tools available to design great products are excellent. I could not believe when we received an email from Jane Ryan to make a contribution to our cause. To me that was the most incredible thing in the world!!! I am extremely glad I ran into Custom Ink and I am sure I will never use another company to make anything I want to put a design on.
