"After surviving breast cancer in 2013, I decided to form a team to walk in the Susan g. Komen Race for the Cure in Austin, TX. Nine women (one was sick and unable to make the event) walked the 5K with about 15,000 other participants. In our group were 2 breast cancer survivors, my two daughters, and friends who have all been touched by breast cancer in family or friends. We really stood out of the crowd in our hot pink shirts! The day was inspirational we were so blessed to share it together. We'll be back again next year."
