Tuesdays with Morrie Author Mitch Albom Gets Custom Inked by Mrs. Leigh Ann Chow - 9 months ago
"I am an 11th grade English teacher at Mechanicsburg Area Sr. High School in Mechanicsburg, PA. We worked with Custom Ink to create two t-shirts that were the culmination of a project in which students designed a t-shirt featuring one of Morrie Schwartz's "Morrieisms" -- short, witty sayings featured in Mitch Albom's best-selling memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie. Each class picks its winner and then all 12 classes' shirts are voted on by the entire junior class. The winning design is made into a t-shirt that students are able to purchase. Proceeds are donated to the ALS Association, the charity that supports research for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) from which Morrie suffered. This year, we had two top designs that were nearly tied, so we decided to make both. Because Custom Ink was so easy to work with and so affordable, we were able to order to 80 shirts and raise more than $175 to donate to ALS. As if this were not amazing enough, on June 23, Mitch Albom himself visited the Harrisburg area. After his talk, I was able to present him with one of our t-shirts and tell him a little about our project. The photo shows me (wearing the "little bird" design) presenting the "wave" design shirt to Mr. Albom. Custom Ink has been a wonderful partner in this project, even going so far as to make an unsolicited donation to our fundraising to the ASL society. I could not ask for a better experience and we will no doubt use Custom Ink again next year when we hope to make our fundraising efforts an even bigger success!"
ALS Express Bike Ride-- Phelan's Phighters by Karolina - 9 months ago
"This is a photo of our team--Phelan's Phighters (about 25 riders) taken on June 15, 2013 in Wildwood, NJ. We were taking part in ALS Express Bike ride for research. My husband, Tom, was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2013, and we gathered a team to ride for him. Some of us rode 25 miles, and some rode 10 miles. We collected over $11,000 for the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, and the money will go to research to find a cure for ALS. It was a very emotional and tiring day for all, but we are already talking about next year. We want to be even bigger! Thanks CustomInk for making our team T-shirts. We chose bright orange color, and we were all very visible to the cars on the road and to each other! CustomInk made designing our team T-shirts very easy, and every member of our team loved them! We did not take them off after the ride, but kept them on all day!!!"
Back to the Future for the Harpoon 5-Miler by Team Mathison - 10 months ago
"This weekend, we joined thousands of people at the Harpoon Brewery on Boston's waterfront for a 5-Mile race to help raise money for ALS research, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The event raised over $155,000! Fun fact: Chris ran the entire race with the hoverboard under his arm."
Look at us in our awesome Sean's Posse T-shirts! by Sean's Posse - 10 months ago
"This is the second year that we, Sean's Posse, participated in the Walk to Defeat ALS in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Better organized, we decided that we needed some cool t-shirts to wear as we proudly walked together. Nelson Ricardo, a member of our group, came up w/ the design. But how could we afford t-shirts for a small group? Customink made it possible! They answered questions about the t-shirt fabric, fonts, and made uploading the design a breeze! On top of that, they were fast at printing and shipping out the product, but not without first providing us a proof to review. We will definitely do business with CustomInk again. Great experience!"
Joining forces to walk in honor of John B. Thomson, Jr. by Team JBT Infinity - NYC Walk to Defeat ALS 2013 - 10 months ago
"For the second year in a row, we were the largest team at the NYC Walk to Defeat ALS!! With our brigade of blue Custom Ink shirts, we were unmissable throughout the walk up NYC's West Side Highway. While Mr. Thomson couldn't join us at the walk this year, his son Scotty was sending videos of our team cheering together when we took our team picture and when we crossed the finish line. Mr. T has touched all of our lives in some way and so it brought each and every one of us great joy to be able to do something to honor him and bring him a smile as he fights to keep his chin up in his battle with ALS. So far, we've raised over $20,000 and counting! Way to go team Juliet Bravo Tango Infinity!"
Arkansas Walk to Defeat ALS by Daniel's Transwalkers - 11 months ago
"We chose CustomInk to print the tshirts for our team as we walked to Defeat ALS at the Clinton Presidential Library on April 5, 2013. The CustomInk website was very user friendly and the representatives that I had the opportunity to talk with were very knowledgeable and helpful! I would recommend CustomInk to anyone looking to print their logo or promote their team! "
Walk to Defeat ALS by Team Saesteorra - 11 months ago
"Here we are walking in the 2012 Bangor, Maine Walk to Defeat ALS. Our Green Team Shirts stood out in the sea of white ALS shirts. CustomInk was very helpful in getting the spelling of our team exactly right as it is an old english word, plus the backs have a nice rainbow star :) Be sure to check out our team Fundraiser page, the Team Saesteorra Facebook page, and/or our twitter account @saesteorra!"
