"We walked to support research for Crohn's and Colitis. My husband Dave (back center with sox hat on), was diagnosed with Crohns 3 years ago and the support of our friends and family has really made all the difference. We made these shirts to poke fun at our not so fun situation. They have a picture of a toilet and say "I cant wait..." above the toilet and "to find a cure!" under it. We got a lot of smiles and a few people even took pictures of our shirts because they thought they were so hilarious. "This photograph was taken during Laplant's Tae Kwon Do's 4th Annual Kick-A-Thon, April 17th 2010. We use the money raised from this event as a donation to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. How does this work? Sponsors make pleges ( donation per kick) or a flat donation, and then our martial artists perform as many kicks as possible in a 2 hour time frame! This year we performed 32,000 kicks and raised $2,828 for the American Cancer Society!!"
