One year after he was diagnosed. This is a picture of some of the Team Cody supporters. Cody is in the front in the middle."
Walking for Papa by Tricia Berger - 4 months ago
"This is a picture of my mom and my daughters at the Conroe, TX Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. The walked in honor of my dad, Jim "Papa" Cole who we lost to cancer. Our shirts we received from CustomInk were well received at the walk and we got a lot of compliments! We will definitely use CustomInk again!"
In Honor of Our Dad, Joe. <3 by Team Jogging 4 Joe - 9 months ago
"On November 9th, 2013, twenty pairs of feet stomped the grounds of Irvine to walk in honor of our awesome dad, Joe Tumambing. Joe's life was cut short by an unfair opponent: pancreatic cancer. Team Jogging 4 Joe joined thousands of others in an effort to raise funds for the Pancreatic Action Network. We hope that our efforts will assist in finding earlier detection against this silent killer. And with the help of customink.com, we created unique shirts that helped us stand out in the 2013 Purplestride OC walk. "
Lizathon by Team Run Liz Strong - 10 months ago
"Our friend Liz was diagnosed a couple weeks ago with Colon cancer at 32... this was the note we sent to our friends... Liz had a dream to run NYC so she did what everyone has to do and put her name in the lottery. After 4 years of submitting her name and not getting the opportunity to run the she was automatically in for the fifth year. The dream would come true in November 2011. But then she had a minor toe injury that prevented training for the race. You are allowed to default one year after your acceptance, so that's exactly what Liz did, she delayed her run for one more year. Summer 2012 comes along and Liz starts her training up. She gets her miles in, spends early mornings lapping the lake and cross training getting ready for an amazing race. This time Hurricane Sandy came along and wrecked havoc on Liz's plans. All that hard work, the blood sweat and probably tears for her to not get to run the 5 boroughs put on hold until 2013. So that brings us to 2013. Liz's dream to complete the NYC marathon is on hold again. This time she has a much bigger battle to face so that one day she can complete the NYC Marathon. Since Liz can't complete the 26.2 on Sunday, which is the day of the NYC Marathon, WE (her family and friends) should do it for her and call it The Lizathon! Every one of us can walk or run a mile to help get the 26.2 miles in for her. ... We decided to do this on Tuesday and the race was on Sunday, big thanks to the CustomInk team helping us pull off the logistics in no time. Liz said "the docs said having this kind of support could be a game changer." "
Maria's Walking Warriors by Maria Sacchetti - 10 months ago
"A few years ago, after surviving Hodgkin's Lymphoma, I decided to get involved in a movement whose efforts attempt to erradicate cancer. I fund raise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night with my team, Maria's Walking Warriors. LLS helped me when I was sick so this is my way of giving back. This year I decided to get team t-shirts for my team and I'm so glad I did! My Warriors show their pride with their t-shirts & on-going efforts in helping me fundraise. "
