My Cheering Section at the Boston Marathon by Forehand's First Boston 26.2 - 25 days ago
"I have some of the best, most supportive fans in the world: my boyfriend and my family!! They showed up in 2011 to cheer me on in the Marine Corps Marathon, but unfortunately I didn't see any of them until the very end. This time, for my first Boston Marathon, I wanted to make sure that they stood out, and also that they had a token of my appreciation for giving of their time to travel with me to Boston! And it worked! As I approached the turn onto Beacon Street at Cleveland Circle near Mile 22, there they were, giving me the boost I needed to finish the marathon (and with a PR - sub 3!). That night we all donned our shirts for a post-race dinner in the North End (I ordered myself one too, of course!). And since my finish time qualifies me to run in next year's marathon, I hope to be able to run Boston again next year -- which means I'll need more shirts! (Like many of my fellow runners, I feel compelled to run Boston again next year.) Working with CustomInk was great from start to finish. They were quick to alert me of any design concerns, and the rush shipment to my hotel in Boston arrived in a timely fashion and was one less thing I had to worry about before Marathon Monday. Despite the tragedy surrounding the marathon, the support of my family and our time together left us with fond memories of our trip. Thank you, CustomInk!"
