"This photo was taken after my high school band won the Worlds of Fun Music Festival (Kansas City) in early April. We passed out the shirts at the competition so we could easily recognize one another - in a sense they were our uniforms for that day.
The shirts were made to honor the "dynasty" that our band director has created with the band program. The back says "Battles are won before they are ever fought" - this is in reference to all the preparation we do before music contests, and indeed we did win the battle that day.
