Five close friends joined me in Dillon, CO to celebrate my 61 birthday and my friend's 57 birthday. We started at the top of Vail Pass, CO. We cycled down to Copper, onto Frisco and then to Breckinridge and back to Frisco (30 miles all tolled) We had a fabulous experience, and so many passing bikers were complimenting us on our shirts. "Safety was a big concern for our 37 mile, 3 day, backpacking, cycling, canoeing, portaging, rock climbing, first aid assisting, rifle shooting competition. "On October 4, 2008, over 45 people came together to make the Ride for Awareness possible. It started out as a senior project that turned into a charity event to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. Over $2600 was raised, and then donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
