"We were walking in the Susan G. Komen Mother's Day Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, May 9, 2010. This is my Mom's 4th year doing the walk since she became a survivor. She unfortunately had a single mastectomy because of the cancer, hence the name "Nancy's Spare Pair." The whole group came out in support of my mom, her best friend (a 10 year survivor) and her friend's sister (recently diagnosed, but now a survivor). We raised money and walked to support all survivors as well as to raise awareness for breast cancer research. It was a very successful day."
"This is team Ain't No Hill For A Climber. My family & friends put together this team together in under a month, in honor of me, I was diagnosed with MS in March 2010 & we walked in this MS WALK less than a month later. Even though it stormed on us we moved inside & finished the walk where we rocked our shirts in a fashion show. The shirts have a happy little climber climbing an MRI brain scan.
