Be Like Brit Race Team at Falmouth by Kristin Hervey Musser - 15 days ago

Win Be Like Brit Race Team At Falmouth T-Shirt Photo

"We had 10 amazing runners from the Be Like Brit Race Team who ran in this year's Falmouth Road Race! The team fundraised over $10,000 to support the children in our orphanage in Haiti! The Orphanage was built in loving memory of Britney Gengel, who perished in the 2010 Haiti earthquake while on a service trip through her college, Lynn University. Be Like Brit honors Britney’s memory and legacy of compassion to those less fortunate, and was inspired by a text message she sent to her mother just 3 hours before the quake claimed her life. “They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.“ After two and a half years of construction, Be Like Brit was dedicated and blessed in an ecumenical celebration of life and love on January 5, 2013. On what would have been Brit’s 23rd birthday, Be Like Brit brought in their first child, a three year old boy. Today, Be Like Brit is home to 48 children, and employs more than 50 full-time employees. Hundreds of American and Canadian college students and other volunteers visit or volunteer at Be Like Brit each year. Through the service work of others, we can all be more inspired to “Be Like Brit”."

Mission to HAITI by Zion Word Church (Anderson, MO) - 9 months ago

Mission To Haiti T-Shirt Photo

"Here are some very happy children from New Vision Orphanage in Carrefour, Haiti! They are sporting their new t-shirts and as you can see they are proud! My experience with Custom Ink has always been exceptional. This t-shirt was a last minute detail for our mission trip and Custom Ink came through with time to spare! The quality is very good for the price. The design specialists did a great job when checking my artwork. They added their finishing touches (for example, they added an asterisk over a French word that made it correct for their language) making it look very professional. Custom Ink is highly recommended by Zion Word Church! "

Be Like Brit Race Team by Kristin Hervey Musser - about 1 year ago

Be Like Brit Race Team T-Shirt Photo

"The Be Like Brit Race Team runs to help the children of Haiti in memory of Britney Gengel, who died in the tragic Haiti earthquake of 2010. ABOUT BE LIKE BRIT In many ways, Britney Gengel from Rutland Massachusetts was a typical 19-year-old young woman, but her humor, passion and deep sense of caring for those less fortunate made her memorable to all who met her. It was her compassion for others that brought Britney to Haiti on January 11, 2010, just a day before the catastrophic earthquake that claimed an estimated 230,000 lives. Britney had spent the day visiting Haitian orphanages in Port-Au-Prince and just a few hours later, Britney, three of her fellow students, and two Lynn University professors lost their lives in the rubble of the Hotel Montana. Britney was missing for 33 days before her remains were recovered. Fortunately, Britney’s dream did not die with her. Only hours before the earthquake, Britney sent a text message to her family that read: “They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.” These forty words would sustain Britney’s family through the tragedy and, ultimately, serve as the driving force behind the establishment of the Be Like Brit Foundation and the decision to build an orphanage in Grand Goâve for the children of Haiti. The mission of the BLB Foundation is “to serve the children of Haiti by establishing a safe, nurturing and sustainable orphanage in an environment where they can grow, learn and thrive.” We welcomed our first child on January 21st, and are now a family of 33 children! We have had exciting milestones, too, including the first round of report cards, first visits from the tooth fairy, and we have had birthday celebrations! Our children are really thriving!"

Track stars of l'Ecole de Choix (Haiti) by Laura Pincus Hartman - over 1 year ago

Track Stars Of L'ecole De Choix (Haiti) T-Shirt Photo

"L'Ecole de Choix loves CustomInk. Our students live in the most extreme conditions of poverty and the two shirts that we provide to each of them as part of their school uniforms are a source of pride for these children. These students choose their colors, some of the first choices they get - ever. In this photo, you see three members of our Choix track team, who have done so well in their events that they have been asked to represent Haiti in the Caribbean games in Curacao in June! Their CustomInk shirts give them pride, just as their education supports their esteem."

Sole2 Soul Goes To Haiti!! T-Shirt Photo

"Sole2Soul just returned from it first trip to Haiti a couple of weeks ago! Seven team members took 426 pairs of new shoes to orphans and impoverished children in the city of Saint Marc, Haiti. We spent 9 days traveling to different orphanages and schools giving many children their very first pair of brand new shoes. What an experience and joy to give to these children that have so little. Custom Ink was amazing to work with!! From the customer service rep to the design team, we could not have asked for a better company to work with. They deliver what the say they will, when they say they will. Plans are in the works for our next trip and we will proudly be wearing our Custom Ink shirts on our next adventure! Sole2Soul is changing lives one step at a time!!!"

Nokloo Baseball Gear Drive by David Gamboa - almost 3 years ago

Nokloo Baseball Gear Drive T-Shirt Photo

"We held a Baseball gear drive for the first ever little league in Haiti. Which takes homeless kids off the street and gives them an opportunity to play baseball. Our organization, Nokloo, is run by 4 High School seniors in the LA Area. We ended up collecting 500 pieces of equipment for Haiti and we are the only people and/or company supplying equipment for the league. We sold shirts and ended up selling 28 shirts which allowed us to buy 18, one for each of the kids on the original baseball team that started the league called the tabarre tigers. Thanks to customink, our dream of getting the kids matching jerseys was a reality. We can't wait to keep using them for future projects."
