"We decided to escape with some friends to The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island for a long Thanksgiving weekend! The kids can't stop talking about what they experienced. Gingerbread house making, snow-globe making, Santa coming to town with the elves, Thanksgiving dinner with endless pumpkin pie, beach time, amazing breakfast buffets, killer burgers, spa time, Jamaican bands by the pool, shark teeth searching, Christmas tree lighting, s'mores by campfire on the beach, playroom/movie time... I've never seen such amazing itinerary... Also, the kids are still in shock from Santa knocking on the door for tuck in time.. Priceless. "

"We gather together once a year in Gatlinburg, Tennessee to have a festival of food during the Thanksgiving Weekend. We stay at a cabin named Finders Keepers at Elk Springs Resort. It is a time of relaxation, merriment, and gastronomic goodness that culminates in a Sweet Genius Contest. Each couple is responsible for preparing a meal from scratch and contributing to the feast on Thanksgiving day. We eat, we lounge, and we eat some more.
