"Our students assisted with Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief on the Jersey Shore. One of our projects was hosting a Safety Day for local elementary school children. "50 shirts were sold at Rolling Hills Prep School along with a donation jar in hopes of making a difference to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. All proceeds went to a relief fund, and we collected over $1000 dollars! This was a completely student-run activity and with the help of CustomInk, it was a huge success. "My friend, Meghan "Bos" Boswell was all set to run the NYC Marathon until Sandy had other plans for the city. Even though the marathon was cancelled, she still ran 26.2 miles in Central Park - doing 4.5 laps through the hilly terrain. We were still able to cheer her on with the surprise shirts we made and she plans to run again next year! SO PROUD of her for not giving up and running anyways. "
"This photo was taken at the end of the Walk on October 28 2012 at the Art Museum in Philadelphia PA the same day SANDY came but, we all showed up for my grand-daughter Caraline who is 8 years old and was diagnosed last year with diabetes. We really do have a wonderful family and friends, and even though the storm was coming everyone showed up and brought sugar free snacks and all the little babies. "
"NYC reunion of 8 friends who bused/flew in from boston, london, munich, hamburg, cape town, sidney and zurich to spend 3 days reconnecting and running amuck in the big apple. 2 friends are missing from this pic as had to escape early due to Hurricane Sandy, and the one in white is 6 months pregnant so will need to wait a while to fit the T!
