Siblings remembering their brother by Cullen 2014 - 3 months ago

Siblings Remembering Their Brother T-Shirt Photo

"For the past 3 years my family has walked the March of Dimes "walk for babies." My twin boys were born at 35 weeks unknowingly on the verge of dying in utero. Grady is our survivor, he had 2 NICU stays and Cullen died after a 5 hour fight. We miss him everyday. I wonder ALL the time what life would be like with both my little boys. Every year we make shirts in memory of Cullen with Customink. "

Tribute to Kyle Knapp 1989-2013 by Christmas2013 - 7 months ago

Win Tribute To Kyle Knapp 1989 2013 T-Shirt Photo

"My brother, David Cranmer (editor, publisher & writer) & I surprised our little family on Christmas day with a tribute sweatshirt in honor of my son Kyle J. Knapp. Kyle died in an accidental fire in June of this year. He was 23 years old and an aspiring poet & writer. Pluvial Gardens is his first book of poetry published by his Uncle David back in 2012. We have also started a memorial garden at the site where he died named Pluvial Gardens. In the summer of 2014 we hope to make T-shirts from his second book of poetry, published after his death called "Celebrations in the Ossuary". We love these shirts, they are beautifully done and very comfortable. My family thanks everyone at CustomInk and wishes them a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!!!"

In Memory of Mom by Erica P - 9 months ago

In Memory Of Mom T-Shirt Photo

"My family has been involved with the local American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign since 2007 when my Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. Sadly, her battle ended on August 1, 2013. At the October walk, my family (and friends) wore a CustomInk t-shirt with her photo on it and inspiring words to honor her fight. The shirts turned out amazing and I was so proud to wear it and share a little bit about my Mom and her journey to all those in attendance. CustomInk was amazing to work with. I had two shirt orders at the same time (one main shirt for the whole team and this special shirt for our family). They were exceptional -- emailed AND called me with specific questions and worked with me on a few details that needed to be taken care of. This is my 2nd time working with CustomInk and I'm super pleased. I was even more surprised when I received an email from CustomInk asking if they could donate to the charity that the shirts were being made for (American Cancer Society). I was amazed at such awesome customer service. Thank you CustomInk!"

Be Like Brit Race Team by Kristin Hervey Musser - 12 months ago

Be Like Brit Race Team T-Shirt Photo

"The Be Like Brit Race Team runs to help the children of Haiti in memory of Britney Gengel, who died in the tragic Haiti earthquake of 2010. ABOUT BE LIKE BRIT In many ways, Britney Gengel from Rutland Massachusetts was a typical 19-year-old young woman, but her humor, passion and deep sense of caring for those less fortunate made her memorable to all who met her. It was her compassion for others that brought Britney to Haiti on January 11, 2010, just a day before the catastrophic earthquake that claimed an estimated 230,000 lives. Britney had spent the day visiting Haitian orphanages in Port-Au-Prince and just a few hours later, Britney, three of her fellow students, and two Lynn University professors lost their lives in the rubble of the Hotel Montana. Britney was missing for 33 days before her remains were recovered. Fortunately, Britney’s dream did not die with her. Only hours before the earthquake, Britney sent a text message to her family that read: “They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.” These forty words would sustain Britney’s family through the tragedy and, ultimately, serve as the driving force behind the establishment of the Be Like Brit Foundation and the decision to build an orphanage in Grand Goâve for the children of Haiti. The mission of the BLB Foundation is “to serve the children of Haiti by establishing a safe, nurturing and sustainable orphanage in an environment where they can grow, learn and thrive.” We welcomed our first child on January 21st, and are now a family of 33 children! We have had exciting milestones, too, including the first round of report cards, first visits from the tooth fairy, and we have had birthday celebrations! Our children are really thriving!"

5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards! T-Shirt Photo

"We had our shirts made to celebrate all the nominations our productions of Evita and Godspell received in an awards program similar to the Tonys in Seattle, Washington! Our shirts were also made in memory of a member of our drama family, Marques Weekly, who tragically drowned last August. That is the reason for the color, blue, the MW BUBBA LOVE and the quote on the back! We had a magical day! :) "

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer T-Shirt Photo

"This was our fourth year in the American Cancer Society's, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Portland Oregon. We were so proud to have custom team shirts this year (this was a first for our team). We also met our team fundraising goal this year (another first). Each team member had their own reason for walking. But we were all there with the same goal in mind. "

Rock N Roll New Orleans Half Marathon: Race In Memory Of My Dad T-Shirt Photo

"On January 21, 2013, my father passed away suddenly from complications from lung cancer. I had planned to run the Rock n Roll New Orleans Half Marathon on February 24, 2013. The race benefits the American Cancer Society and I decided to run In Memory of my Dad. Three of my best childhood friends, who knew my dad well, decided to run the race with me so I had the shirts made up for all of us to wear. It was fantastic! My first half marathon and I had such great support and the whole while running for my dad. "

The Roast Beasts by Natalie S - about 2 years ago

The Roast Beasts T-Shirt Photo

"This past November we lost our sister, cousin and friend, Lindsay, after a courageous 2 year battle with colon cancer. The story behind our team name: Throughout her fight with cancer, Lindsay not only had a great attitude, she had a great sense of humour. After her surgery to remove her tumour, she nicknamed it "The Beast" and growing up, a common Sunday dinner in our family was roast beef. With her friends knowledge of Sunday Dinners and Lindsay naming her tumour "The Beast", the "The Roast Beasts" were created. We designed these shirts for this years Relay for Life and had them personalized with the nicknames that Lindsay had given us over the years. We chose blue as that is the colour of the colon cancer ribbon. "
