"May 17 marked the inaugural voyage of HMS Cure in its quest to discovever a cure for diabetes. The team, led by Captain Hunter M. Skinner had a successful maiden voyage rasing almost $2000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation. This year's t-shirt was designed by our young captain who was recently diagnosed with Type I diabestes. He incorporated pictures of a replica of the HMS Endeavor from our visit to Sydney, Australia last year. the staff at customink.com did an awesome job helping with shirt selections, sharpening our images and delivering on short order!"

"This photo was taken at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Mall of America, January, 2009. Our daughter, Amelia, (pictured on left) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2008 at the age of 8 months. Now 17-months old, Amelia served as the captain of our 48-member team, "Amelia's Little Stars." This was our first fund raising event to help find a cure for this disease, and our team raised over $6,000 to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes!
