"Our team wanted to do something special during the month of October for breast cancer awareness. We decided to sponsor a field hockey game called Play 4 The Cure against our rival school. We wore our newly designed T shirts in blue tie dye (blue is our school color) with pink writing. We had each team members name and number printed on the back of their shirt with a field hockey emblem on the sleve and Play4TC on the front. We also wore pink ribbons in our hair and pink tie dye socks. We raised donations from team members and sale of cookies to give to Komen breast cancer. "During preseason this year, we knew our team was going to have a good season, and we knew we needed some great "swag" to wear. We went with both warmups and tshirts. The warmups have been great; they wick sweat and totally intimidate the opponents. We look so BA! The t-shirts are more fun. On the back they say the phrase "Ohana", which is our team theme. The idea is Ohana means family: if you don't let your family down, you don't let your teammates down, and then you don't let that ball drop the ground. It's been a great focus for our team so far.
