"We went to the Kidney Walk in Dallas, Texas this year to celebrate my son (the boy in black shorts) getting my kidney 3 years ago!!!! We usually do the Fort Worth, Tx walk (It's earlier in the year & colder so we bought matching sweatshirts- which were awesome as well)!!! "This is Team Kidney Bean at the 2011 National Kidney Foundation Kidney Walk at the Detroit Zoo in Michigan. I have been a walker for seven years, my father passed away in 2009 from ESRD (end stage renal disease) and I continue to walk in his honor. This year, however, I decided to build a team. We are a large group of family and close friends, and we all have a reason to walk. As you can see, the weather wasn't very cooperative but it was an amazing day regardless. There were a few that couldn't be present, but they were there in spirit. As a team we raised almost $5,000 and I couldn't be more proud. Unfortunately it was difficult to get a good picture of our team shirts due to the weather but everyone loved them. We went with a more simple design and customInk.com had so many templates and ideas. Not only am I thrilled with the look and quality of the shirts, but the entire process was more than pleasant.
