This event is dear to us all since we lost our beloved dad, poppy and friend to this horrible disease in September 2008. The first year he walked walked with us and we continue to walk in his honor and memory and for all those who have battled, are battling and will battle lung cancer. We miss her very much but enjoy this chance to honor her memory each year. This year we also raced in memory of Maggie Russell, my brother-in-law's late aunt, and Patti Crowe, a close family friend we lost when my sisters and I were kids."

"Over 30 people on Team Riccio walked for 2miles on Sunday, Oct. 17th at Hammonassett State Park in Madison Connecticut to raise money for The Cove. The Cove is a center for grieving children who have lost a loved one. We walked in honor of Eddy Riccio who passed away two years ago from cancer. His children organized the team and his daughter designed the t-shirt in memory of her father."

"Haley would have been 21 yrs. old on Oct.8,2010.We had a memorial Birthday get together for family and friends in her honor.We had ALL her favorite foods and gathered in the fellowship hall of the Church at Mt.Zion Baptist Church in Great Falls,S.C. Haley was envolved with the youth group Team 412 and inspired so many.Her sister sang "The Climb" for her and I read her poem that she wrote titled "Heaven".We released 21 purple ballons at the grave site for her Birthday."
