"This picture was taken at the end of a 185 mile relay race from Woodstock to New York City along the bank of the Hudson River, which took place on May 14-15, 2010. A team of 12, two vans, each person having run three legs totaling between 13 and 19 miles. It's 30+ hours of running on very little sleep, unknown terrain, and eating/changing out of the van..forget about using the bathroom. It's you and nature. We had Team Thunder and Team Lightning...and for some of us, we had never met before, or knew very little about each other...but for 30 hours we were in a van together -- cheering each other on, stopping to give water and making sure the iPod was cued at Lady Gaga...we all bonded and we were a team! Our contrasting custom ink shirts helped us to commemorate the event. Our shirts displayed both our unity and friendly rivalry, and helped make our storm unstoppable!"
