"On June 9 - 10, 2007, seven friends walked for 20 miles through the night in New York City, along with over 2,000 others, for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's "Out of the Darkness Overnight." We walked to raise money and awareness for suicide and mental illness. It was a powerful journey, as many of us walked in memory of our dear friend, Valerie, and for others close to us. Our team's shirt was adorned with a picture of an angel Valerie had drawn and our team name, Nika, was for her beloved cat. We wore our custom ink shirts proudly! Thanks, customink!"

"Then Henry Street School for International Studies Running Team on the Lower East Side of New York City is comprised of all boys in grades 6, 7, and 10th! The boys were at their final championship track meet of the season in June 2007 when we took this photo. Getting to the track meet was an accomplishment for many because when they joined the team in September 2006, most of them could only run for a few seconds! We did not have an athletic budget so the boys were creative in raising money for the shirts. The CustomInk shirts we got were customized with their last names on the back, and the kids really loved having the strangers in the crowds at races identify them by their last name and cheer for them. This event was at Plainview Old Bethpage JFK High School's Night of Acappella Concert in 2006. After funraising for 2 years, "Chock" as it is usually called, fundraised enough money to buy matching track jackets to perform in. Chock Full of Notes has raised thousands of dollars for cancer and has donated 100 hours of community service through their performances. Custom Ink helped to make the group even more professional!
