Relay for Life May 2010 by Team SamIAm - almost 4 years ago

Relay For Life May 2010 T-Shirt Photo

"The American Cancer Society hosts Relay for Life events throughout the country to raise awareness and funds for cancer. At this first time event in Clarksburg, MD, we formed "Team Sam I Am" to honor Sam (pictured second from left) a 13-year old who is fighting brain cancer. We really stood out in our safety green shirts as we walked the track all through the night - if Sam and his family have to go through this battle with cancer, we can stay up all night and walk and raise money for cancer. Our team won with the highest amount of donations, and Sam is still going strong to this day!"

Team Tony by Race for Hope, Philadelphia - almost 4 years ago

Team Tony T-Shirt Photo

"Race for Hope, Philadelphia, is a 5 K run and walk that my family participates in every year. About 18 months ago, my dad was diagnosed with 2 meningioma brain tumors, with one wrapped around his optic nerve. After a scary few months of losing his vision and high dose radiation, he is finally starting to be able to cope and function like himself. He was able to run the entire 3.2 miles at the race and continues to be an inspiration to my entire family. "

The Avengers take on Autism! by Evan's Avengers - almost 4 years ago

The Avengers Take On Autism! T-Shirt Photo

"About one year ago, my young son Evan was diagnosed with autism. It's life-changing news, and it affects 1 in every 110 children -- 1 in 70 for boys. Autism Speaks was the organization that was most helpful to our family during those early months of confusion, frustration, disappointment, and learning to navigate a whole new world. On November 6, a team of family and friends walked in the National Walk Now for Autism Speaks to raise money to help other families in the same way that we were helped. The fundraising was important, but the lesson we learned in the process was that we are not as alone as we sometimes feel in facing this disorder. CustomInk helped make us feel like a team, in shirts that our joyful, smart young man (who just so happens to have autism) helped to design. I am grateful for the support I have been blessed to receive, and thankful that CustomInk made it a fun, affordable process."
