"My sister and I created team, Muscle Team Miracles Can Happen...If You Just Believe!, for Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA), annual Muscle Walk. We both have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) and we walk to raise money to fund research to find a cure for neuromuscular diseases. This year’s walk was held on April 27th, 2013, at Sugar Pine Trails, Fresno, California. Our team received top donations raised by a medium sized team and most money raised online. "In my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha I am part of a family line that we nicknamed Elephante Mafia. The reasoning behind the name is rather simple. We all are in love with elephants and elephants tend to travel in packs of close knit females. Our family within our sorority takes after the elephant ideals of love and sisterly support. We also all have a very quirky, funny and slightly ganster side. So we decided to make it into a mafia to give each family member a proper mafia nickname. "

"My sisters and I getting ready to go to our first breakfast on our cruise. (12-03-12). My sister Gwen wanted to do something for me to cheer me up, my husband had passed away the year before. "All of our three sons are in the military and each have had several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have pledged, as a family, to have a reunion every year over the July 4th weekend. Sometimes one of the boys cannot be there (in 2012 our oldest son was gone - green shirts). Every year we decide on a different Custom Ink shirt and take a family picture which we then use as our Holiday Card and mail to everyone on our list of almost 200 family and friends. This year my 3 sons and my husband, who served 33 years, will have compiled 100 years of military service. The photo entered was taken July 4th 2012 in Sisters, OR at a Dude Ranch.
