"This is a photo of my sister Ginny who is currently going through chemo for Breast cancer and my mother Ruthanna who is a Breast cancer survivor. They were doing the survivor lap at the Breast Cancer walk at Hagerstown Community College, in Hagerstown Maryland. When my sister told me about the walk she said we would all just wear pink and I said let's try to make t-shirts. I went online and searched and the first site that came up was CustomInk. "About Relay For Life Teams of people camp out at a local high schooland take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are 24 hours in length; representing the reality that cancer never sleeps. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer in your community. This picture shows but a handfull of the people that it takes to put on this event, and just a few of the team OWOC. To get the whole team in one place at the same time is impossible as they are all busy working hard for the cause n the field. This was the 11th anniversary of Pacifica, CA Relay For Life. An event to raise money and awareness for the cure for cancer. We also remember those who fought and lost the battle as well as those who have won. Our survivors and their caregivers are also celebrated with their own lap and special awards of over 1,000 hand folded origami paper cranes on a strand honor a few of those special people each year. Luminarias(decorated white paper bags with candles inside) line the track each one representing the memory of a loved one. If you have never attended one of these events, you should! The feelings are impossible to describe in words alone. This is the second year that we have ordered from CustomInk.com and are very happy with the service and the product. "This is team Super Cool Kids participating in the Relay for Life in Centerville, VA. This team is made up of 42 kids under 12 and 10 adult chaperones. This team has 2 members that are survivors and 3 parents of team members are also survivors. These great kids raised over $5600 dollars. The kids did everything from design the t-shirts to planning our fundraisers(yard sale). These really are Super Cool Kids!"
"On October 4th and 5th 10 women from Wilton CT participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Together our team raised over $50,000. for the cause! We called our team, "Friends 4 Friends" because four of the women on the team have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Three of us are survivors and one is undergoing treatment. Needless to say, it is a cause close to our heart. We thank Custom Ink for your donation to our team and for making it so easy for us to design our team shirts. We received many compliments during the walk!! We LOVE Custom Ink!!!"
