"We wore our Team Tony t-shirts April 11, 2015 during the Walk & Roll for Research 2015. This was a fundraiser for Methodist Rehabilitation Center. My son, Tony Bates, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson, MS on April 3, 2014. It is now believed that he experienced a spinal stroke. Tony was 19 years old at the time. After spending 12 days in the hospital, 2 of which were in the CCU, Tony was transferred to Methodist Rehabilitation Center. He couldn't even sit up on his own. He spent a month as an inpatient at Methodist Rehab. What a month that was! He left there in a wheelchair. Today, he continues outpatient therapy with the Quest program through Methodist. I'm happy to say he is now walking with the aid of a walker and Bioness (electronic simulator). With the help of Customink, Team Tony raised over $1100 for research! Thank you for always being available to answer all of my questions. Everyone loved our shirts. (We were the only team at the walk with our own team shirts!) I look forward to next year!" - Darlene Bates (Apr 12, 2015)
