"This is a rural band in the area of Milot, Haiti where I was working after the recent earthquake. The band plays to celebrate living another day. looks like Theriot will play short every day, and the teentsy-weentsy two hadeed monster will platoon at 2nd. There really isn't a lot we can do about it. I liked something Aiello said in an earlier post. Why not buy Hoffpauir a Brooks Robinson lunch box and have him bein working his proverbial fanny (the not swearing will be a challenge, Sherm)off at third base, thus becoming the 6th infielder. With 6 weeks to work on things, and at least a AAA ability to field ground balls at first base, I figure he can get the job done. Maybe Ron Cey comes over from Dodger fantasy camp for a few days and works with him. We've all seen worse over the years at third. He's semi-young and supposedly has work ethic. He gives us a lefty bat with some sock when DPLEE and Aramis need their respective days off. An extended DL visit for Aramis might ruin this diabolical scheme, but seriously who among us really believes that Hoffy will work out worse than (pick one) Stynes/Coomer/Zeile/Cairo/Andrews/Orie/Bellhorn. Those that don't know Sherm will come to love him. The king of the sentence fragment. It'll also be nice to have another infielder over 5'8 .
