Being a local Northern VA company, I decided to give you a try. Our group has various vendors we use for various "branded items" we use for our different non-profit activities. I was impressed with our CustomInk Satisfaction Assurance Associate, Mr. Jason Chung. When he emailed me and then personally contacted me about an issue with our photo we submitted to be used on the mousepad, I was impressed with his followup and the options he was able to give. Not knowing the process that he recommended, he again contacted the graphics people to get their opinion on how the final product would turn out. They were confident that I would be happy. I authorized the approval and just a few short days later, the mousepads were delivered. They turned out great. I am proud to give them out to our lodge members and the several dignataries who will be celebrating our FOP Lodge's 15th year anniversary. Overall I was pleased with the service that CustomInk provided. One thing that is kind of irritating is that it's not clear when items aren't produced locally by you, and it adds time to shipping. My mouse pads didn't actually ship to me until 2-3 days after you marked them as "delivered". They were marked as such once they arrived to your office in Virginia. I had to send an email asking someone to let me know when they're actually put in the mail and sent to me. I just had the same experience buying shot glasses and had to do the same thing. Overall I'm happy with the products that you provide, but the timeframe seems excessive. Another example of this is the U-2 Mafia t-shirts that I've bought. I've had three runs produced, totalling over 400 t-shirts, and each time it takes the same amount of time to have them shipped to me. The first run included about 5 days waiting for the art department to make a template, etc., then to send me proofs, and once I approved them, they started production. After the third run, I specifically asked that they skip that part to hopefully speed up the turnaround time, and I checked today and they finally shipped on the last day of guaranteed shipping. In fact, it took less time to produce the first run of t-shirts which included art department and approval time. This seems to me that repeat business is punished by sitting on my order and producing it later than newer ones. The customer service has been pretty good, but I'm going to look around at other print shops before I come back for any further purchases based on my experiences above. -Robert Work
