Here at the office we just had a bake sale to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.<\/a> In an ideal world, I think there should be a system for matching donations to the number of calories consumed\u2026 but I guess there are far too many tasty things in this world for that to work.<\/p>\n

I also noticed that the office has been looking awfully pink lately, and I set out to figure out exactly what was going on. Turns out, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month<\/a>, apparently \u2013and this is where I feel out of the loop\u2014 October to December is PACKED with other charity walks, marathons, and drives.<\/p>\n

In the last few weeks, not only did we have a bake sale to benefit breast cancer prevention but we also had artwork created on skateboards to benefit Afghan schools (Skateistan<\/a>) and a dog wash to benefit HART<\/a> (Homeless Animal Rescue Team). We also annually have walkers and workers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund<\/a> and the Alzheimer\u2019s Association\u2019s Memory Walk<\/a>.<\/p>\n
