We\u2019ve decided to scout out some of the greatest of our time to feature in our artist interview series. <\/p>\n<p>Spanish Illustrator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.behance.net\/cokenavarro\" target=\"blank\">Coke Navarro<\/a> agreed to let us pick his brain on his latest projects, his recent trip to Budapest, and other art forms he\u2019d love to master. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>CustomInk:<\/b> What are you working on right now?<\/p>\n<p><b>Coke Navarro:<\/b> I&#8217;m working on a short comic of my character Kid Owl, and on some movie fanarts.<\/p>\n<p><b>CustomInk:<\/b> What\u2019s one work of art by another artist you wish you had created?<\/p>\n<p><b>Navarro:<\/b> In that case, I wouldn&#8217;t had discovered and enjoyed them, so none.<\/p>\n<p><b>CustomInk:<\/b> Did you have formal training or are you self-taught?<\/p>\n<p><b>Navarro:<\/b> I studied in the Art Faculty in Valencia, but you actually start learning when you leave college.<\/p>\n<p><b>CustomInk<\/b>: Do you have a pre-creativity ritual or something you do to keep yourself inspired? For example, Freud smoked about 20 cigars a day&#8230; woah!<\/p>\n<p><b>Navarro:<\/b> I just play some loud music and get to work.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13562 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Hercales-Coke-Navarro.jpg\" alt=\"biopic_lg-2\" width=\"300\" height=\"376\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> What\u2019s your most indispensable tool or office supply?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> My light table, can&#8217;t live without it. <\/p>\n<p><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> What are your thoughts on the digitization of art\u2014 traditional by hand vs. art created digitally or art turned digital?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> Well, if it&#8217;s good, it&#8217;s good, the technique doesn&#8217;t really matters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> Where did you travel to last? What did you forget to pack? <\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> Budapest. I think I didn&#8217;t forget anything&#8230;Damn, am I becoming an adult? <\/p>\n<p><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> Ha! What was the best part of your visit? <\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> Getting drunk after the concert\u2014 singing and air-guitaring big time. I was there with my friend Juan Esteban, who is an incredible illustrator, and some other friends. It was great.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13562 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Hellboy-Coke-Navarro.jpg\" alt=\"biopic_lg-2\" width=\"368\" height=\"461\" \/><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> Is there another art form you\u2019d love to master?<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nNavarro:<\/strong> Music, of course. I used to rap, but I never knew how to play a real instrument. I would like to learn piano.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> What piece of your art are you most proud of and why?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> I think it is my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.behance.net\/gallery\/31713977\/HELLBOY-Here-to-protect-Tribute\" target=\"blank\">Hellboy<\/a> screenprint. The prints came out very nice, with an opal paper and a golden ink, it looks great live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CustomInk:<\/strong> We have to ask, what\u2019s your favorite shirt?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Navarro:<\/strong> My Black Sabbath t-shirt, from the concert in Budapest.
