But maybe \u2013 like a lot of our customers \u2013 you\u2019d rather take a more active approach to the holiday. To some of our customers, family time at Thanksgiving means participating together in their local 5K \u201cTurkey Trot.\u201d Check out these awesome photos and stories from last year\u2019s races:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turket_trots.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1297\" src=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turket_trots.jpg\" alt=\"Turkey Trot 5k Group T-Shirts\" width=\"660\" height=\"261\" \/><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Every year for Thanksgiving, the Tangen family (thus <em>Tang<\/em>-sgiving) gets together in Minnesota (thus the long-sleeved T) for not only the traditional Thanksgiving meal but also a fish fry, parade, singing, games and the <a title=\"Bemidji Turkey Trot\" href=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/photos\/post-tangsgiving-5k-turkey-trot\" target=\"_blank\">Bemidji Turkey Trot<\/a>. \u201cUnfortunately many of our group had to get back to work or couldn&#8217;t travel due to other circumstances, so we were down in numbers for our Trot, but NOT at all lacking in ENTHUSIASM! Next TangsGiving we&#8217;ll double our number of family racers!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A family in Texas celebrates the holiday by participating in the <a title=\"Dallas 5K Turkey Trot T-Shirts\" href=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/photos\/la-famiglia\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas 5K Turkey Trot<\/a>. Even those who didn\u2019t run or walk still show their family \u2013 or famiglia \u2013 pride by wearing these custom-made shirts! \u201cThanksgiving morning my family participates in the Dallas 5K Turkey Trot and this year we decided to get team t-shirts. The whole family had the shirts, but this picture has the group that ran that morning!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Ohio, the Grindstaff family started a tradition in 2009 with their participation in the <a title=\"Columbus Turkey Trot\" href=\"http:\/\/www.customink.com\/photos\/turkey-trot-2009\" target=\"_blank\">Columbus Turkey Trot<\/a>. They plan to make it an annual family event \u2013 complete with custom Ts each year! \u201cI ordered 23 CustomInk t-shirts for my family&#8217;s first turkey trot in Columbus, Ohio! Everyone loved the t-shirt I designed. My family had so much fun at the thanksgiving turkey trot they want to make it an annual event.
