About this campaign

The mission of A Way Out is to assist and support all victims, survivors, and families of domestic violence and sexual assault through ethical, culturally competent, and compassionate services. We advocate for social change designed to end the cycle abuse through dedication, community involvement and education.

In December 1990 a Clinton County Woman's Center satellite office was opened in Coudersport PA,to provide Domestic Violence Services in Potter County. In 1995 PCAR (Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape) awarded the organization$5,000.00 to provide services for victims of Sexual Assault.In July1999 The program name was changed to A WAY OUT Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services. Currently in 2015A Way Out is a non-profit organization located in Potter County, P.A., which provides services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We work with victims who are experiencing or have experienced emotional, verbal, physical, sexual or other forms of abuse.Services to individuals and their family members are strictly confidential and free of charge.A Way Out provides information and options to allow those we assist to make their own choices about the best options for them.We also provide counseling for those who are unsure if their relationship is abusive and would like to talk to someone about it. And we provide prevention education to children and teens. Some of the services we provide: 24- Hour Helpline
