This One Starfish Veterinary and Transportation Fund

This One Starfish is a Texas 501 (c) 3), not-for-profit Corporation that has been helping People help dogs since 2014 through rescue, fostering and re-homing. As a new organization we have just started fundraising to pay for expenses associated with rescuing dogs.

Our largest expense is veterinary care. Every dog that we save from a shelter needs veterinary care, spaying or neutering, and often, treatment for heart worm. Some dogs come to us sick or injured. Recently we took in a dog who was thrown out of a car window!

We currently have 18 dogs in foster homes waiting for adoption. Your donation will allow us to continue to care for these wonderful dogs and continue helping the dogs that so desperately need rescuing. Dogs in high-kill shelters in the state of Texas have typically 1-3 days to be adopted before they are placed on the euthanasia list. Puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, all are at risk of dying every single day. Every day, thousands of dogs are unnecessarily euthanized in Texas. Thousands of beautiful, loving dogs who would make wonderful family pets and companions, are destroyed due to overcrowding in our shelters.
